Michelson Diagnostics announced today that its ground-breaking new VivoSight OCT scanner (recently awarded 510(k) clearance), is now available with DICOM image export capability.
DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is an international standard for exchanging information between medical imaging equipment. The DICOM export facility means that 2D and 3D images captured with the VivoSight hand-held OCT probe, can be viewed, processed and analysed by any DICOM compatible software, such as 3DNet Suite (pictured), and detailed reports produced which include details of the patient and clinical examination.
The new DICOM software will be demonstrated at BIOS 2010, booth 8612.
